Project Assistant – 01
Qualification : The candidates should have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Physics or related subjects with minimum of 50 % marks. Candidate with knowledge of night sky observation will be preferable. Strong interest in Astronomy, Astrophysics and teaching is desirable. The position is purely temporary, for one year in the first instance and extendable by one or two more years. A consolidated honorarium will be paid as follows.
Pay Scale : For Project Assistants with Master’s (M.Sc.) degree – Rs. 10,000/- during the first year, Rs. 11,000/- during the second year and Rs. 12,000/- during the third year + HRA 30% in lieu of Government accommodation. For Project Assistants with Bachelor’s (B.Sc.) degree – Rs. 7,500/- during the first year, Rs. 8,500/- during the second year and Rs. 9,500/- during the third year+ HRA 30% in lieu of Government accommodation.
Age limit : 25 years
Project Fellow – 01
Qualification : The candidate should have M. Sc. degree in Physics / Astronomy with at least 55% marks and some additional skill and experience relevant to the job. Experience of working in Linux-based computers is desirable.
Pay Scale : Rs. 12000/- p.m. to 16000/- p.m. depending on quality of skills and/or experience, with enhancement of the slab by Rs. 1000/- per year up to Rs. 16000/-p.m. House Rent allowance in lieu of government accommodation at the rate of 30% of the honorarium will also be paid.
